FFmpeg release flame

In the last days a flame arised on the FFMpeg list when the maintainer of Motion (some motion detection thingy) “asked” for making stable releases more often.

He didn’t wanted to understand the way FFmpeg is developed, how seriously we take performance, and why don’t we like shared libraries with PIC.

On the second day he got a helper hand, some other guy flaming us down to the ashes and not getting the point we are speaking about.

He has put up a [funny blog entry|http://www.livejournal.com/users/airlied/11663.html] aswell, that’s why I did wrote this one :)

Also can’t point you to the mailing list archives as the server is on it’s knees again…
